I am a sociologist of work interested how big changes affect people, workers and communities. I have studied socio-economic change from state socialism to capitalism, restructuring of industries with a particular interest in the steel industry, and am currently leading a comparative project in 11 countries on climate change and just transition investigating how decarbonising the economy can happen in a just and fair way.
